Lash obtained his North Carolina real estate license in 2016 and co-founded Carolina Commercial in 2018. His initial experience in the business involved managing over 15 shopping centers for a local family office, all located in small and tertiary markets. The challenge of leasing in these types of markets honed his skills in attracting the attention of regional and national tenants to these often-overlooked locations.
Lash developed innovative strategies to overcome the economic hurdles often presented in these markets. His unique approach, built largely on ingenuity, hard work, and relationship building, has enabled Carolina Commercial to help landlords nationwide lease their most challenging vacancies.
Residing in Pinehurst, NC, Lash balances his professional success with family life alongside his wife, Rita, and their children, Bill and Hattie Mae.

Joe Maguire’s 35+ year commercial real estate career began with summer maintenance jobs in New York City office buildings while completing his Bachelor of Science degree at St. John’s University. As a student leader, he served as President of his fraternity, Iota Alpha Sigma, and campus radio station WMOC. Joe spearheaded charitable initiatives, including fundraising for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Pediatric Ward and gifting a statue of Mary to the campus library. He also excelled on the St. John’s Men’s Varsity Bowling Team, leading the Red Storm to the national championship tournament in his junior and senior years.
After graduating from St. John’s, Joe entered commercial real estate, starting with a redevelopment project in Norfolk, VA. With the backing of a NYC-based family office, the project helped launch a commercial real estate platform. As its President, Joe guided the company’s growth, overseeing development, construction, acquisitions, leasing, and property management, growing it into one of the largest privately held real estate portfolios nationwide.
Joe’s leadership philosophy emphasizes character, humility, and service above self. He attributes his success to hard work, perseverance, and doing things “the right way.” Committed to community service, Joe has actively contributed to various organizations, including the American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, South Florida Science Museum, The King’s Academy, Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary International.

SEAN CASEY

Sean Casey is an attorney, real estate broker, and development professional with over 18 years of experience helping investors optimize their real estate strategies.
Sean started his career with Walmart’s Real Estate Department, managing over 55 million square feet of retail space in Florida, with additional oversight in Minnesota and Ohio. He led projects to expand, retrofit, and remodel Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs in these regions, driving operational efficiencies and asset value.
In 2010, Sean joined Mathias Properties, Inc., serving as General Counsel and Property Manager, with additional oversight of the company’s leasing and development projects. In this role, Sean managed site selection, entitlements, and construction, overseeing all consultants, vendors, and contractors throughout the development cycle.
Sean’s extensive experience enables him to provide comprehensive oversight of all facets of the transaction cycle, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and strategic insight.
As a Principal at Carolina Commercial, Sean’s primary role is expanding and managing the company’s platforms in Arkansas, Mississippi, Texas, and the Midwest, helping clients maximize the full potential of their real estate assets.

KAREN GIORDANO
Karen joined Carolina Commercial in 2024, bringing her extensive experience in property management, leasing, and construction to the team. She demonstrates her core values in every aspect of her work.
When not engaging with clients, Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. She continues to focus on helping others by serving her community through volunteer efforts, particularly assisting new mothers facing various challenges.

Mishelle Conti

Before joining Carolina Commercial, Mishelle served as Senior Director of Leasing and Managing Broker for Regency Properties, where she led leasing operations for a large multi‑state retail portfolio.
Mishelle resides in her hometown of Evansville, Indiana. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two daughters, Michaela and Jaslynn, her fiancé, Reece, and her family. She enjoys boating at the lake, gardening, attending concerts, and shopping.

Danine Garbarino
Danine Garbarino began her career in commercial real estate in 1995 as a Lease Administrator for Carolina Commercial Principal Joe Maguire when Joe started a new real estate company focused on retail. As the company’s portfolio expanded through acquisitions and ground-up development, and as property management services were added to support these growing assets, Danine played a central role in establishing the firm’s operational infrastructure. She helped implement processes, systems, and accounting applications to support new acquisitions while also serving as Office Manager, overseeing invoice processing and coordinating day-to-day office operations.
In addition, Danine was actively involved in the closing of each new asset purchase. Her responsibilities included abstracting leases; reviewing loan, operating, and easement agreements; coordinating closing documentation; and reviewing and approving settlement statements for a portfolio that ultimately grew to more than 6.5 million square feet.
In 2000, Danine was promoted to Director of Property Administration, where she oversaw daily operations across the shopping center portfolio, including budgeting, operations management, and TICAM reconciliations. She also led the acquisition onboarding process for new shopping centers and land purchases while continuing to supervise office staff and administrative functions.
Danine’s deep institutional knowledge and hands-on experience across every stage of shopping center ownership make her an essential part of Carolina Commercial’s fully integrated approach to retail real estate in secondary and tertiary markets. Her expertise has been recognized by clients and transaction partners alike. As one seller’s CEO noted following a closing, “Danine is amazing. She taught me a few things and highlighted aspects of my own shopping center that I didn’t even know.”

Deirdre Cynth Deles
Deirdre is a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and became a licensed teacher in 2017. She began her career in education, working as a preschool teacher until 2021, where she developed strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Her professional path later led her into the corporate world, where she transitioned into administrative support within the real estate industry. She worked closely with brokers, managing emails, coordinating schedules, and handling day-to-day administrative tasks to help streamline operations and improve efficiency. Bringing her background in education and corporate support together, Deirdre joined Carolina Commercial in 2023. She contributes to the team by providing reliable administrative assistance and ensuring smooth internal processes.
