Joe Maguire got his start in commercial real estate over 34 years ago after graduating from St. John’s University. At St John’s, Joe was elected President of his fraternity and President of campus radio WMOC. Joe led multiple fund-raising campaigns while at St. John’s and was a starter on the St. John’s Men’s Bowling Team, leading the Red Storm to the national championship tournament in both his junior and senior years.
Upon graduating from St. John’s Joe entered the real estate business, first working on a redevelopment project in Norfolk, VA, which became the launching pad for a commercial real estate platform. With the backing of a New York City based family office, the platform expanded into development and acquisitions and grew to become one of the largest privately held real estate portfolios in the country. As its President, Joe led all aspects of the growth and management of the platform.
Joe now brings his decades of experience to Carolina Commercial as Partner.
Joe values community service and has served in various capacities for community groups and institutions, including the American Diabetes Association, Diabetes Research Institute, American Cancer Society, South Florida Science Museum, The King’s Academy, Chamber of Commerce, and Rotary International.
